Minneapolis/St. Paul - During tomorrow's game against the Chicago Sky, the Minnesota Lynx will be encouraging fans to support flood victims in the city of Duluth. The region suffered torrential rains earlier this week, causing Governor Mark Dayton to declare a State of Emergency on Wednesday.

"We encourage all of our great Lynx fans to support the city of Duluth," said Lynx Chief Operating Officer Conrad Smith. "We've all seen the damage that the flooding has caused and our thoughts are with Duluth residents during the recovery process."

To support the cause, fans can donate to the Red Cross by visiting www.redcrossmn.org or by calling 800-733-2767. Donors also can text "REDCROSS" to 90999 to make a $10 donation, or send checks to the Northland Chapter of the American Red Cross at 2524 Maple Grove Road, Duluth, MN 55811.

Following last night's victory over the New York Liberty, the Minnesota Lynx are a WNBA-best 11-1, holding a two game lead in the Western Conference over the Los Angeles Sparks. Minnesota faces off with the Eastern Conference leading Chicago Sky tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. on ESPN. Tickets are still available and can be purchased by contacting the Lynx Front Office at 612-673-8400 or by visiting www.lynxbasketball.com .
