
Lynx Sign Veteran Guard Layshia Clarendon

MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - Minnesota Lynx Head Coach and General Manager Cheryl Reeve today announced the team has signed guard Layshia Clarendon. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Clarendon is in their ninth WNBA season, making stops in Indiana, Atlanta, Connecticut and New York, playing in a career total 218 games and holding averages of 7.3 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists. During the 2021 season they appeared in one contest with the New York Liberty.
The 2017 WNBA All-Star saw their best season in 2019 where they averaged 11.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists in 19 contests with the New York Liberty. The San Bernardino, Calif. native was selected ninth overall by the Indiana Fever in the 2013 WNBA Draft out of University of California.
