Lynx Fall In Extra Innings To Bisons

The Bisons got on the board in the top of the 1st, when Grady Sizemore drove a shot off the scoreboard in right field to put Buffalo up 1-0. The game remained 1-0 until the 5th, when Mark DiFelice gave up another solo homer to Dusty Wathan to make the score 2-0. The Lynx put together a rally in the bottom half of the 5th. Pedro Swann picked up the Lynx first hit of the game with a bunt single, and one out later Jack Cust walked to put runners on first and second. Joey Hammond then got the Lynx on the board with a RBI single to right to cut the Bisons lead in half. After Tom McGee popped up, Mike Fontenot and Eddy Garabito lined back-to-back RBI singles, plating Cust and Hammond respectively and giving Ottawa a 3-2 lead. Buffalo knotted the score at three in the 7th inning when Dusty Wathan singled to lead off the inning and later scored on a wild pitch, tying the game at three. The game stayed tied at three until the 11th, when Jerry Spradlin walked three straight batters, including Grady Sizemore with the bases loaded, as the Bisons took a 4-3 lead. Ottawa was unable to score in their half, as Buffalo won the game 4-3 in extra innings.
