Lynx Bring Back Weber

July 7, 2004 - ECHL (ECHL)
Augusta Lynx News Release

The Augusta Lynx announced today that Assistant Coach Chuck Weber will be back for a second season with the club in 2004-05. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not revealed.

Weber worked along with Lynx Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Stan Drulia last season, making key contributions in player recruitment and video analysis, while also overseeing the defensive side of things during game action.

"Chuck was a big help to me last season, and he's got a ton of contacts in hockey," said Drulia. "Between the two of us there aren't many people we don't know, which is always helpful in building and maintaining a team. He's an invaluable part of the organization."

No stranger to winning, Weber was a part of the Turner Cup Champion Orlando Solar Bears in 2000-01, and has also held assistant coaching jobs with the Milwaukee Admirals of the AHL and Trenton Titans of the ECHL before moving to Augusta.

"I really enjoy working with Stan and the players here in Augusta," said Weber. "I think last year ended on a great note and we're definitely looking forward to continuing the job we started last year of getting this team on track for the playoffs."

Full and partial season tickets are on sale now through the Lynx office by calling (706) 724-4423, or stopping by the office at 712 Telfair St. in downtown Augusta. Fans may also purchase season tickets on the team's web site at www.augustalynx.com. Full season seats start as low as $340 each! Get yours today. Welcome to THE YEAR OF THE FAN.
