Trenton Devils News Release

TRENTON, NJ (July 7, 2004) - The Trenton Titans announced today that acquired former Titans forward Bryce Cockburn from the Pee Dee Pride in exchange for the rights to defenseman Ray DiLauro.

"We're absolutely excited to have Bryce back," said Mike Haviland, Titans Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations. "He was one of the core guys for Trenton last year and we look forward to a breakout second season from him."

Cockburn, 26, notched 18 goals, 16 assists and 18 PIM in 67 games during his rookie season with the Titans. The Campbell River, BC native developed in a quality two-way player last season and was also a mainstay on the penalty kill. A second-year pro, Cockburn was a standout at Northern Michigan University, where he totaled 63 goals and 56 assists in 148 games.

The Titans signed DiLauro as a free agent on June 22, 2004. The third-year pro played last season with the Columbus Cottonmouths of the ECHL, where he recorded 24 points (9g, 15a) and 31 PIM in 52 games. A ninth-round pick of the Atlanta Thrashers in 1999 NHL Entry Draft, DiLauro played his college hockey with the St. Lawrence University Saints. There, the Bensalem, PA native tallied 43 points over four seasons.
