Augusta Lynx News Release

Augusta, GA - The Augusta Lynx were busy on the transaction wire today, announcing they have been assigned four players in total prior to tonight's game with the Pensacola Ice Pilots.

Augusta received goaltender Dave McKee from the NHL's Anaheim Ducks, along with forward Garrett Bembridge and defensemen Brett Skinner and Nick Kuiper from the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League.

McKee, who was 8-2-0 with the Lynx before his recall to Anaheim, backed up but did not see any ice time while with the Ducks.

Bembridge appeared in eight games with the Pirates, scoring twice and adding two minutes in penalties. Skinner, 23, has four goals and eight points with the Pirates this year to go with a +5 rating, while the 24-year-old Kuiper has recorded no points in five games and is even with six minutes in penalties.

Also, the team announced they have placed forward Joe Cardarelli on team suspension and have released defenseman Nick Van Herpt prior to tonight's game.

The Lynx take on the Ice Pilots Tuesday and Thursday night, with both games coming at 7:35 pm. Tickets are on sale now via the Lynx office at (706) 724-4ICE, through all TicketMaster locations, and on line at www.TicketMaster.com. Seats are $11, $15, and $18, with discounts available for students, seniors, and military personnel.
