
'Blades activate Tuma; Place Dyment on IR

ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Gerry Fleming announced today that defenseman Martin Tuma has been activated off the 3-day injured reserve list and that defenseman Chris Dyment has been placed on the 3-day IR. As per team policy, the injury was not disclosed.
Tuma returns to the lineup after missing the past three games. The 21-year-old has collected two assists and 31 penalty minutes in 12 games with the Everblades this season. The 5th round draft pick by the Florida Panthers in 2003 has skated in 60 career games with the Everblades over the past two seasons, notching eight assists and 106 PIM. Overall in his three-year career, the native of the Czech Republic has tallied 11 assists and 144 PIM in 77 games with the Everblades, San Antonio of the American Hockey League and Rochester, also of the AHL.
Dyment heads to the IR after suffering an injury in Florida's 5-1 win over the Columbia Inferno last Wednesday. The 27-year-old native of Reading, Massachusetts has two goals and 12 PIM in 10 games with the Everblades this season. The former 4th round draft pick by the Montreal Canadians in 1999 began the season with Albany of the AHL where he skated in six games and totaled four PIM. Overall Dyment has played in 172 career games, scoring 27 points (12g, 15a) dating back to 2002-03.
