Lumberjacks Roster Set for Season

Bangor, ME- The Bangor Lumberjacks roster is set for the remainder of the season following the placement of RHP Jerry Long on the Inactive List, the Northeast League club announced today.

In 15 starts, Long was 2-6 with a 3.61 ERA. The rookie out of Cleveland State, struck out 54 and walked 45 in 84.2 innings of work. By placing Long on the Inactive List, the Lumberjacks retain his rights for next season.

The Lumberjacks also announced that they have released INF Jude Voltz. Voltz was placed on the Inactive List earlier this season after suffering an injury. In 26 games this year, Voltz hit .209 with a home run and nine RBI. He had been on the Inactive List since the end of June.

The Lumberjacks final home stand of the season begins on Tuesday, August 26 against the Allentown Ambassadors. It's Two for Tuesday, meaning that fans who purchase a general admission or reserved ticket, get a second one free. Tuesday's game begins at 7:15. Gates open at 6 PM.
