Lumberjacks Acquire Matt Steeves

MUSKEGON, MI - The Muskegon Lumberjacks are excited to announce that they have acquired forward Matt Steeves and Sioux City's Phase Two second round pick in exchange for the Muskegon Lumberjacks Phase Two first round pick from the Sioux City Musketeers.

Steeves, a native of Bedford, New Hampshire, just completed his first season in the USHL with the Sioux City Musketeers. The 1997 birth year scored 12 goals and collected three assists for a total of 15 points in 58 games. During the 2014-2015 season, Steeves represented the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs in the EHL, scoring 14 goals and collecting 15 assists in 44 games. Steeves is committed to the University of Notre Dame following his junior hockey career.

The USHL Phase One Draft consists of only players born in the year 2000, and will begin today at 7 p.m. The Phase Two Draft will begin tomorrow at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 3rd.
