March 7, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Montreal Royal News Release
Montreal, Canada. The ABA Montreal Royal , who will be playing their final two games of the regular season this weekend, have inserted singer Luke Mervil and Montreal Alouettes slot back Dave Stala as their 13th Man Celebrity players for the games. The ABA gives every home team the opportunity to have a special guest inserted into the lineup for each game. After recent 13th Men Anthony Calvillo and Bruny Surin, the spotlight will now be on Mervil and Stala. On Friday night, the Royal meets the Twin City Ballers as Luke will take part and on Saturday, Stala will be on hand versus the powerful Vermont Frost Heaves. Both games are set to tip off at 7pm. Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
