Sahlen "Do Your Best, Never Quit" at North Buffalo Community Center

March 7, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Buffalo Silverbacks News Release

The Buffalo Silverbacks recently performed a Sahlen "Do Your Best, Never Quit" life and basketball seminar at the North Buffalo Community Center. Robert Kurtz, Recreation Director wrote in a letter to the Silverbacks:

"The "Do Your Best, Never Quit" philosophy has sent a positive message to all of our members recently, school report cards have come out and many have shown improvement in their schoolwork. The positive message you and your teammates have instilled in our youth that if they just keep doing their best, then the results will prove that they can be better at anything they attempt. Thank you so much for giving your much appreciated efforts and message to not only the youth of North Buffalo, but to all the youth in Western New York."

The Sahlen "Do Your Best, Never Quit" community outreach initiative teaches children to focus on the effort they apply to a situation rather than the result. Taken from "real life" experiences, professional basketball players from the Buffalo Silverbacks have delivered this message more than 100 times to local community centers, schools and other places where the focus is encouraging a positive future for the children of WNY.
