Lukas Lima Signs WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with Everett

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips have officially signed 2023 fourth-round pick Lukas Lima to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

Lima, an '08-born right winger, was selected 86th-overall in the 2023 WHL Draft. The Langley, BC native posted 14 goals and 14 assists in 27 regular season games for Delta Hockey Academy U15 Prep's Green squad in 2022-23.

"I'm so happy and honored to officially join the Everett Silvertips and to be drafted by them," Lima said. "As a player I am looking forward to advancing my skills on and off the ice and seeing the different level of intensity in the WHL. I'm so thankful for the whole Silvertips family for giving me this opportunity and I can't wait to get started."

The 5-foot-11, 188-pound Lima skated with Delta's U15 Prep Black team in 2021-22, logging five goals and nine assists in 30 regular season appearances.

"Lukas is a player who brings many different elements to our program," commented Silvertips general manager/head coach Dennis Williams. "His size, skating and willingness to play inside the dots and go to the net will contribute to his success in the WHL. Lukas is responsible in all three zones, plays an honest game and we feel he will have an immediate positive impact on our program."

"Lukas is a player we identified in the early goings this season," noted assistant general manager Mike Fraser. "His passion and dedication to the game and his desire, determination and willingness to be a Silvertip is something that didn't go unnoticed by our staff. We couldn't be more excited to have Lukas as a part of our organization moving forward."

Previous notable fourth-round selections in Everett Silvertips history include current winger Roan Woodward ('20 Draft, 87th-overall), Montreal Canadiens prospect Gianni Fairbrother ('15, 79th-overall) and Vancouver Canucks defenseman Noah Juulsen ('12, 70th-overall).

Lima is the third member of the 2023 WHL Draft class to sign with the Silvertips, joining 10th-overall pick Brek Liske and 20th-overall pick Caine Wilke.

By signing a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement, Lima is guaranteed a WHL Scholarship for every year he plays in the WHL.
