Lugnuts Place Two on DL

LANSING, Mich. - The Lansing Lugnuts, in conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, announced that both outfielder Michael Crouse and right-hander Casey Beck have been placed on the 7-day Disabled List, with Beck placed on the DL retroactive to August 24th. In a corresponding move, the Lugnuts received pitcher Tim Brechbuehler (BRECK-byoo-ler) from the rookie-level Gulf Coast Blue Jays.

The 6'8 Brechbuehler, 22, was signed as a nondrafted free agent out of Louisburg Community College in June. A native of Gillette, New Jersey, Brechbuehler was 1-0 with two saves and a 3.71 ERA in 21 relief appearances spanning 26 2/3 innings in the Gulf Coast League.

The Lugnuts' roster comprises 24 active players, with seven players on the Disabled List and one on the Temporarily Inactive List.
