
Lubbock's Victor Mann Heads to AFL's New York Dragons

LUBBOCK, TX: November 28, 2007 - The Lubbock Renegades of arenafootball2 (af2) are pleased to learn that fullback Victor Mann has made the jump to the Arena Football League (AFL), as he agreed to terms with the New York Dragons.
Mann heads to New York after earning the Renegades "Offensive MVP" honors for his play last season as a rookie to arena football. The 6'2" 275-pound Lubbock native finished the season ranked fourth in the af2 in rushing with 293 yards on 73 carries and 12 rushing touchdowns. The Kansas State product also claimed 228 receiving yards on 15 receptions and six touchdowns. His offensive totals also led him to rank fourth in the af2 in rushing yards per game (19.5), fifth in rushing attempts (73), tied for sixth in yards per carry (4) and eighth in rushing touchdowns (8). Mann produced the sixth best single-game rushing performance in af2 history on May 26th against Laredo, as he rushed or 80 yards on nine carries.
The advancement of Mann to the AFL places four players from last season's Renegades roster that have advanced to the AFL. Mann joins James McCoy (Kansas City), Alvance Robinson (Grand Rapids) and Ken Scott (Tampa Bay) as former Renegades that have agreed to terms with AFL teams for the 2008 season. The Renegades have concluded their inaugural 2007 campaign and are now preparing for the 2008 season.
