Charleston Lowgators News Release

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (November 20, 2003) The Charleston Lowgators of the National Basketball Development League have announced their final ten-man roster to begin the 2003-2004 NBDL season.

The Lowgators feature four returning players from last year's playoff team, led by point guard Tierre Brown, one of Charleston's three NBA callups last season. New to the roster is homegrown talent Chuck Eidson, a former South Carolina Gamecocks and Pinewood Prep star, as well as five players drafted in this year's NBDL Draft.

"I'm excited about our roster because we have a great group of guys to work with and we have balance at every position. Now we just have to build a team out of it," head coach Doug Marty said.

The Lowgators released center Charles Manga and point guard Edward Scott today to cut down to the legal roster limit of ten. Both players had been with the team throughout training camp.

Charleston opens their NBDL season at home against Roanoke on November 28 at the North Charleston Coliseum at 7:30 p.m. All military personnel and their families can purchase tickets for a special rate of $7.50 at the North Charleston Coliseum Box Office or the Lowgators office.

Individual game tickets are $13.50 for adults, $10.00 for students (13 through valid college I.D.) and the military and $7.50 for kids 2 to 12 and seniors 62 and older. Tickets can be purchased at the Coliseum Box Office; by calling 1-800-4-NBA-TIX; by calling 460-1000 or by logging on to www.charlestonlowgators.com.
