Charleston Lowgators News Release

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (December 20) – The North Charleston Lowgators defeated the Huntsville Flight 99-90 in overtime on Friday night at the North Charleston Coliseum. Damone Brown had 31 points, with 28 of them in the second half, to pace the home team.

With the score tied at 77 after regulation, the Lowgators scored 22 points in the extra period, as Damone Brown contributed 14 of them. He was 10 of 13 from the floor with three shots from beyond the arc. He was also 8 of 8 from the line.

"I just tried to take over. I'm at my best when I'm aggressive, so that is what I was trying to do. We controlled the tempo late in the game and that got us the win," Brown said.

The Lowgators came back from a 13-point deficit in the fourth quarter by going on a 21-9 run to start the period. Sedric Webber, coming off a scoreless contest on Wednesday, popped in 23.

The Lowgators were 24 of 25 from the line, while Huntsville only made 7 of their last 13 charity tosses.

Lonnie Harrell led the way for the Flight with 21 points before fouling out. Bakari Hendrix added 16 and 12 rebounds.

Both teams play tomorrow night. The Flight (9-6) will host Asheville, while the Lowgators (8-8) will be at Roanoke.
