Columbus Crew SC News Release
COLUMBUS - Columbus Crew is set to host a full day of professional soccer at Lower.com Field on Saturday, Sept. 3 with a single-ticket, doubleheader event. Leading off, the Crew takes on Chicago Fire FC at 5:30 p.m. ET [Bally Sports Great Lakes, Bally Sports App / 1460 ESPN & 971TheFan.com (English), ColumbusCrew.com (Spanish)].
Originally scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET, the move to an earlier kickoff sets up a packed fall day of sports in Columbus, with The Ohio State University football opening their season against the University of Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m., following the Crew's new match time. Tickets that have previously been purchased for the match will be automatically updated to reflect the new time.
All ticketed supporters attending the First Team match against the Fire are invited to remain in the stadium to watch the MLS NEXT Pro contest between the league-leading Columbus Crew 2 and Chicago Fire FC II [8:30 p.m. ET / MLSNEXTPro.com (stream)]. Club and premium spaces will close 60 minutes after the conclusion of the First Team match.
The Crew 2 match was originally scheduled to take place on Sunday, Sept. 4. All individuals who purchased parking passes for the Sept. 4 match date will be automatically refunded. Fans with tickets for both the First Team match on Sept. 3 and for the original Crew 2 date of Sept. 4 will have their Crew 2 ticket automatically refunded.
Season Ticket Memberships for the 2023 MLS season are now available and include benefits such as private, member-only events; a 10 percent discount at the Crew Shop; monthly, interest-free payment plans; the ability to purchase discounted parking; pre-sale access to all events at Lower.com Field, Historic Crew Stadium and FirstEnergy Stadium; and a dedicated account manager and service representative.
Currently unbeaten in eight consecutive matches, the Crew (7-5-8, 29 points) returns to action against the New England Revolution (6-7-7, 25 points) at Lower.com Field on Saturday, July 23 [7:30 p.m. ET / Bally Sports Ohio, Bally Sports App / 97.1 FM The Fan & 971TheFan.com (English), ColumbusCrew.com (Spanish)]. The match will serve as Alumni Night presented by OhioHealth, and a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Club's 2002 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup championship run. The first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
The MLS NEXT Pro leaders Crew 2 (11-2-2, 35 points) takes on New England Revolution II (7-4-4, 26 points) at Historic Crew Stadium at 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 24.
