Lowell Calls Up Kaiman

Baton Rouge Kingfish News Release


The Baton Rouge Kingfish announced today that defenseman Tom Kaiman has been called up to the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League.

The Kingfish acquired Kaiman early in December off of waivers from the Arkansas RiverBlades. The rookie defenseman tallied 1 goal and 8 assists for 9 points in 45 games this season with the Kingfish while he has picked up 10 points in 68 games overall this year.

The Chesterfield, Missouri native becomes the first player to be called up to the American Hockey League from the Kingfish this season.

Kaiman joins the Lock Monsters as Lowell hosts the Worcester Ice Cats tonight, the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins on Saturday and the Portland Pirates on Sunday.

The Kingfish travel to Jackson to take on the Bandits on Friday. Catch all the action on Baton Rouge's Best R & B, 104.5 WZRB beginning with the Kingfish pre-game show at 6:50 p.m.
