INDIANAPOLIS -- Center fielder Chris Denorfia went 4-for-5 with three runs and two RBI as Louisville rolled to an 9-1 win over Indianapolis Monday evening at Victory Field.

The Bats, who have won five of their last six contests, improve to 30-33 overall. The Indians, who have dropped five of their last six, fall to 34-29. Despite the loss, Indianapolis continues to lead the International League's West Division.

Louisville raced out to a 3-0 advantage with two runs in the second and one in the third.

3B Earl Snyder and RF Andy Abad led off the second with back-to-back walks before Snyder came plateward on 1B Jesse Gutierrez's single to right field. Moments later, Abad scored on C Dane Sardinha's sacrifice fly to right. 2B Matt Kata did the damage in the third, blasting his fourth roundtripper of the season -- a solo shot to right.

The Bats added insurance runs in the fifth, seventh and ninth. Louisville used two Tribe miscues to plate three in the fifth. Snyder then clobbered his 11th dinger of the season -- a two-run shot to left -- in the seventh, while Denorfia came around to score on Gutierrez's double in the ninth.

Indianapolis scored its lone run of the night in the fourth when LF Rich Thompson singled to left and eventually scored on C Carlos Maldonado's sacrifice fly to center.

Louisville tallied 13 hits in the contest, with eight of its nine starters collecting at least one base knock. The Tribe had seven individuals with one hit apiece.

Bats RHP Brad Salmon (2.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 SO) earned the win, improving to 3-0. Indians RHP Jason Roach (7.0 IP, 9 H, 8 R, 6 ER, 2 BB, 0 SO) was pinned with the loss, falling to 2-1.

Indianapolis heads to Rochester for a four-game series, beginning Tuesday night at 7:05 p.m. LHP Sean Burnett scheduled to start for the Indians, while LHP Jason Miller is expected to get the nod for the Red Wings.

The game will be carried by ESPN-950 AM and IndyIndians.com as Howard Kellman and Scott McCauley have the call. Tuesday's pre-game show begins at 6:45 p.m.
