
Louisville Bats Close 2012 Season, Host Governor's Cup Watch Party

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville Bats will host the first of their final four home games of the 2012 season Tuesday, August 28 at Louisville Slugger Field with a 7:05 p.m. first pitch against the Columbus Clippers, Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians. The Bats will play two games against the Clippers on August 28 and 29 before finishing their season with two games against the Indianapolis Indians, Triple-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, on September 2 and 3.
The original 6:05 p.m. game time for September 2 has been changed to 7:05 p.m. and gates will open to suite holders and club seat holders at 3 p.m. so fans may watch the Governor's Cup football game. Gates for non-suite/club level ticket holders will open at 5 p.m. The game will be shown on the left-field video board until first pitch nears. The game will also be available in suites and at the Jack Daniel's Bar and Lounge. Labor Day Eve Fireworks will follow the Bats game. As a part of the Bats' Fan Appreciation Weekend, fans will be able to enjoy $1 hot dogs and $1 Pepsi products on both Sunday, September 2 and Monday, September 3.
Prior to the 1:05 p.m. first pitch of the September 3 game, the Bats will host a softball game featuring the Wounded Warrior Amputees taking on the Local Media Celebrities at 11 a.m. The softball game will last until 12:15 p.m.
