BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox, Class AA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, are offering fans a pair of outstanding birthday party packages in 2009. To celebrate, the team will give away a Grand Slam Birthday Bash to one lucky fan between the ages of 3-12.
To enter the Grand Slam Birthday Bash Contest, send Louie an e-mail at louie@baysox.com with "Birthday Bash Contest" in the subject line. In the body of the e-mail, include the child's first and last name, a parent or guardian's first and last name, the child's birthday and the parent or guardian's daytime phone number. The Grand Slam Birthday Bash is one of two birthday party packages the Baysox are offering this year. Both packages include admission for the birthday child and nine guests. The Grand Slam Birthday Bash includes a one-hour buffet featuring: all-beef hot dogs, chicken nuggets, potato chips, ice cream and drinks. The package also includes 10 general admission seat tickets, a reserved space on the birthday party deck, 10 souvenir gifts and unlimited use of the Kids Park. Every guest is sure to leave the birthday party pleased and the Baysox will make sure the birthday child has an unforgettable experience at the ballpark. The birthday child will announce a batter over the stadium speakers, take an exclusive "behind the scenes" stadium tour and stand on top of the dugout as the crowd sings "Happy Birthday" to them! The Baysox are offering the Grand Slam Birthday Bash for $239, with additional tickets available at $22 apiece.
In addition to the Grand Slam Birthday Bash the Baysox are offering the Bullpen Buddies Birthday Party. The package puts kids in the middle of the action, including 10 lower reserved seat tickets near the Baysox dugout and 30 game tickets to Louie's Kids Park. The birthday child will receive a special birthday party souvenir gift, an exclusive "behind the scenes" stadium tour, a chance to announce a batter over the stadium speakers and a serenade on top of the dugout as the crowd sings "Happy Birthday!" The Bullpen Buddies Birthday Party is $159 and additional tickets are available for $14 apiece.

The Baysox will open their 17th season as the class AA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday, April 8, in Akron. The team will play its first game back home at Prince George's Stadium on Thursday, April 16.
