Loudoun United FC News Release

Loudoun United have re-signed forward Christian Sorto through the 2020 season.

"Sorto is a dynamic attacking piece from the Baltimore Armour. He scored some key goals for us last year, including two in his debut against Atlanta United II," Ryan Martin, Loudoun United FC Head Coach, said. "I am excited to watch him continue to grow in his second year with us."

Christian Sorto was a member of D.C. United's academy before signing his first professional contract with Loudoun United on June 27, 2019. Due to his performance, the 20-year-old was named USL Player of the Week. Sorto recorded his first career assist for Loudoun United in the 3-3 draw against the Charlotte Independence on Aug. 10.

In his debut season for Loudoun United, the Silver Spring, Md. native finished with nine appearances (four starts), scoring two goals and recording two assists. Following an impressive first season with Loudoun, Sorto travelled with D.C. United to face the Bermuda national team in a friendly on Nov. 16, 2019.
