Loudoun United FC Set to Host Flower City Union in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Third Round

LEESBURG, VA. - Loudoun United will play host to Flower City Union in the Third Round of the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. Time and date of the match will be announced at a later date.

Information on when tickets will be available to Loudoun United FC Season Ticket Members and for single game purchase will be announced soon.

This will be Loudoun United's first-ever matchup against Flower City Union. The Rochester, New York-side compete in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA). Union currently sits in eighth place in the NISA.

Flower City defeated Manhattan SC in the Second Round of the U.S. Open Cup, Union's first win of the 2023 season. Flower City Union were knocked out of the 2022 Open Cup after losing 0-3 to D.C. United. Two Loudoun United players - Gaoussou Samaké and Jeremy Garay - were part of D.C. United's win against Flower City.

In the club's first-ever Open Cup match, the Red-and-White defeated North Carolina FC 2-1 to advance to the third round. Details on how the round was drawn can be found here.
