Memphis 901 FC to Face Atlanta United FC in Third Round of the U.S. Open Cup

Memphis, Tenn. - Memphis 901 FC is set to travel for a matchup against Atlanta United in the third round of the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, U.S. Soccer announced in an official drawing on Thursday. The third round will be played from April 25-26 with times to be announced.

Third round fixtures were drawn from regional groups including every division of professional and amateur soccer in the United States. The Southern Group alongside Memphis 901 FC included fellow USL Championship sides Birmingham Legion FC and San Antonio FC and NISL club Chattanooga FC. Also entering the tournament in the group were MLS sides Atlanta United and Nashville SC.

Memphis advanced to the third round of the longest running soccer competition in the United States using an extra time goal from Jeremy Kelly to win 2-1 over One Knoxville SC on Tuesday.

Memphis 901 FC will be back in USL Championship action on Saturday, April 15 as they host Las Vegas Lights FC at AutoZone Park with a 7 p.m. CT kickoff. Fans can get tickets to the next three home matches all for just $21 with the Bill Hamid Ticket Package.
