Leesburg, VA. - Loudoun United FChave announced today the club has re-signed midfielder Abdoul Zanne.
"We're thrilled to have Zanne back for the 2023 season," Ryan Martin, Loudoun United FC Head Coach, said. "He's a hard worker with a winning mentality. He is exciting on the ball and is hungry to become a top player in the league. He is still very young, so our staff is excited to see his growth this season."
The Ivory Coast native joined Loudoun United FC on Apr. 1, 2022, from ASEC Mimosas. The midfielder appeared in 15 matches, recording two goals and two assists in the 2022 season. Zanne made his debut against Oakland Roots on Apr. 17, 2022, recording an assist in a 1-4 loss. The Ivorian scored his first goal against Birmingham Legion FC on Apr. 24, 2022, in a 1-2 loss.
ASEC Mimosas is an Ivorian football club based in Abidjan. Founded in 1948, the prestigious club has produced many world class footballers including Yaya Toure and Salomon Kalou.
