
Loshing, Desnoyers Power Wildcats to Road Victory

The Wildcats got back to their winning ways Saturday night in Halifax, downing the Mooseheads 4-1 before 8,900 fans at Scotiabank Centre.
Captain Yoan Loshing scored his 24th and 25th goals of the season, along with an assist and was named First Star. Loshing's linemates also figured prominently - Caleb Desnoyers potted his 9th along with two assists and speedy Alex Mercier contributed a pair of helpers.
Vincent Collard added his 19th goal of the season. Jacob Steinman recorded his 16th win with a 24-save effort, the Cats fired 45 shots at Jack Milner. Miles Müller returned to the Cats lineup after competing for Switzerland at the IIHF World Juniors in Sweden. The Wildcats improve to 23-8-2-3 after 36 games.

Centreman Julius Sumpf is expected back in the lineup when Moncton visit the Sea Dogs Sunday at 3pm at TD Station. Sumpf suited up with Team Germany at the recent World Junior event.
Next week, the Cats visit the Titan in Bathurst Wednesday night, then host a pair of weekend home games at Avenir Center - Saturday night, January 13, against Rimouski at 7pm and Sunday, January 14, a date with the Mooseheads at 4pm.
