
Los Angeles Sparks Annual Latino Heritage Night Set for September 10

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Sparks will celebrate their annual Latino Heritage Night on Saturday, Sept. 10 when they battle the Chicago Sky at STAPLES Center beginning at 7:30 p.m.
During this theme night presented by White Memorial Medical Center, the rich traditions of Southern California's Latino community will be recognized through a series of cultural performances. As fans arrive at STAPLES Center, they will be treated to music by Mariachi Monumental de Americaon the arena concourse. The group will then perform at on-court at halftime alongside folk dancers from Ballet Folclorico Guadalajara. Meanwhile a live band, La Sonora Internacional Show, sets the in-arena mood pregame and during timeouts.
"Latino Heritage Night is one of the highlights of the Sparks' annual promotional calendar, and we couldn't have a more fitting presenting partner this year than White Memorial Medical Center," Sparks Team President Mike Levy said. "In addition to an exciting basketball game, our fans will enjoy performances from some exceptionally talented artists. Along with White Memorial, we see Latino Heritage Night as a perfect way to celebrate the multi-culturalism that defines Southern California."
In addition to the slate of performances, the first 10,000 fans to arrive at STAPLES Center will receive a full-color, 8x10" Sparks team photo courtesy of White Memorial Medical Center, a leading, faith-based, not-for-profit teaching hospital based in East Los Angeles.
