August 21, 2015 - North American Soccer League (NASL)
Minnesota United FC News Release

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (Friday, August 21st, 2015) -- Sitting in third and fourth respectively in the NASL Combined table, Minnesota United (3W-2T-3L, 12pts.) and the Tampa Bay Rowdies (2W-1T-5L, 7pts.) match up Saturday at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, Florida. The two clubs are currently locked head-to-head and surging up the table toward the NASL leaders. One team will carry momentum with them heading into the final third of the season, while the other will be left clinging to the last postseason spot. The match is set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. CDT - fans can catch all the action live on KSTC45-TV and ESPN3.

Minnesota is fresh off a dramatic win against the Ottawa Fury - snapping their twelve-game undefeated streak - in which Christian Ramirez notched his eighth goal of the season and seventh goal in seven matches. Minnesota has played four of its last five matches away from home, and closes out a long road trip in Florida on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Minnesota and Tampa Bay played to a 0-0 draw in Week 2 of the 2015 NASL Spring Season. It was a match where both teams had their chances, but neither took them. The Loons have scored at least one goal in every match since Week 2, scoring in 18 straight matches. The Rowdies have scored in four straight, but have had a difficult start to their Fall campaign with just seven points in seven matches.

The NASL's third and fourth place teams match up on Saturday when the Loons fly to Tampa Bay. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CDT. Catch the match online on ESPN 3, locally on KSTC-45TV or join us at Brit's Pub for our official watch party!
