Lookouts Drop Doubleheader to Braves
Published on August 18, 2018 under Southern League (SL1)
Chattanooga Lookouts News Release
The Lookouts were swept by the Braves on both ends of their two games set last night 1-0 and 10-7. The first game had the day time start, and the Lookouts were out hit by the Braves five to three. The problem was with one of those three hits was belted for a home run and the only run that scored. Twice the Looks had runners on to take the lead but couldn't muster a run. It would be a slug fest in the night game as both teams had 12 hits.
The Lookouts had the lead early but the Braves bounced back with a four run third then scored for the next three consecutive innings. While the Looks comeback fell short it came down to the final out in the loss. Luis Arrez had a three hit night while Brian Navarreto and Brent Rooker two each. It would be the Jaylin Davis home run in the six that kept the fire burning. The bases were left loaded when the final out ended the game.
It's off to Montgomery with pitching yet to be named by both clubs. Air time for the game will be 5:50 EDT on 96.1 FM and at MiLB.com.
