JACKSON, Tenn. - The Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, legged out a taut 4-3 victory over the Montgomery Biscuits on Saturday. The win in front of 5,057 at The Ballpark at Jackson gave the Generals (66-58) their first 2018 series victory over Montgomery (69-56) in four tries.

Right-hander Barry Enright (2-1, 4.18 ERA) made his best start of the year, throwing a season-high 6 2/3 innings and scattering seven hits. After a two-out solo home run by Montgomery's Nick Solak in the top of the first, Enright didn't allow another mark against him, using 102 pitches to strike out seven men while walking one. Miguel Aguilar threw one inning of relief, giving up a second solo homer to Solak in the eighth that brought the Biscuits within two at 4-2.

Bud Jeter got the final out in the eighth on a deep flyout by Jesus Sanchez, helped by the fleet-footed Ben DeLuzio racing back to the warning track to make the catch. Yoan Lopez finished the game with an inning of work, giving up a run-scoring hit to Jake Cronenworth before a Solak flyout to DeLuzio in center ended the contest. Nine Biscuits runners were left stranded, and Montgomery---the league leaders in stolen bases---did not swipe a base until the ninth inning.

Offensively, Jackson climbed on top of command-lacking J.D. Martin (7-10, 4.46 ERA) in the first inning, scoring a pair of runs on RBI groundouts from Marty Herum and Rudy Flores for a 2-1 lead. The Generals scratched another run across in the second inning, with Kevin Medrano driving home Jason Morozowski on a bases-loaded single for a 3-1 lead. Starting in the fourth inning, the Generals faced a slew of relievers who held them at bay through the sixth. Josh Prince jacked a solo home run off of Travis Ott in the seventh inning, giving the Generals just enough production to secure the win.

Herum's 1-for-3 night extended his hitting streak to a league-best 19 games. Prince, Morozowski, and DeLuzio all stole bases, as the Generals won their second straight rubber game after losing their first seven rubber games in 2018.
