Central Division Star of the Week: Hunter Longhi, Forward, Minot Minotauros
Minot forward Hunter Longhi, 20, had a productive and record-breaking weekend as the Minotauros split a home-and-home series with the Bismarck Bobcats. The 5'8/175 lbs. native of Collinsville, IL, had five point in the two games. On Frdiay, Longhi scored a goal in a 6-2 road loss at Bismarck. On Saturday, he had the game-winning goal and three assists in a 6-4 win. For the season, the American International recruit leads the Minotauros in scoring with 56 points in 45 games played. During the weekend, he set new franchise records for assists (39) and points (56) in a season. "Hunter had a fantastic weekend and produced offense when we needed it the most on Saturday night. He also broke two singles-season franchise records in the process of having a great weekend. We have relied on him all year and he has consistently shown up for our team and his teammates. We look forward to Hunter continuing his success the rest of this season," said Minot head coach Cody Campbell.
