Lone Stars Add Two to Roster

June 25, 2004 - Intense Football League (Intense)
Lubbock GunSlingers News Release

The Lubbock Lone Stars have made two additions to this week's roster in preparation for the Amarillo Dusters. Al Baysinger, a 6 foot 5 350 pound lineman from the University of Oklahoma, will get his first start with the Lone Stars Saturday. He will lineup opposite Jonathan "The HOUSE" Grey making the Lone Stars already giant O-line that much bigger.

Baysinger won a national Championship with the Sooners in 2000, and then went on to play a few years in the NIFL with Austin and Fort Wayne. Baysinger will start in place of Aaron McCubbins' who is in Alaska attending his late father's funeral.

Kicker, Robert Treece will also make his first appearance for Lubbock this weekend. The former Texas Tech Kicker will replace Brandon Stroud on the active roster for week 9. Stroud's struggles continued last week, and the Franchise wanted to give Treece, who barely missed making the season opening roster, a chance to suit up and play.

Lone Star receiver TJ Glover will return to the lineup for this weekend's rematch with the Dusters. Glover sat out last week's game with a bruised hip. TJ currently has 22 receptions for 267 yards and 3 touchdowns in three games. He will replace Adrian Perez who re-aggravated his hamstring last week in his first start for the team.
