Lubbock, TX, October 18, 2006 - The Gunslingers are pleased to announce they have inked a deal to bring Arena Football 2 to Lubbock. The purchase of the team was completed on October 13th with Texas AF2 Holdings, LLC. The decision to sell the team to an AFL member was an easy one to make, according to Owner and General Manager Tiffany Hurd. "Arena Football will only be a stronger asset for the community," said Mrs. Hurd, "and that was one of our goals, to bring quality professional football to Lubbock."
Arena Football 2 brings the next level of talent to Lubbock and will be sure to open new doors for Texas Tech Alumni to continue the football traditions right here in there home town. "We believe the fans and our partners will be pleased with this decision and they'll enjoy the level of professionalism on and off the playing field," said Owner, Todd Hurd.
