London Knights News Release

London, Saturday, January 12th, 2008 -This Saturday January 12th, 2008 marks the Annual London Knights Skate for Easter Seals Kids presented by OMAC to help children with physical disabilities. From 2 pm to 4 pm families are invited to attend the 5th annual skate with the London Knights.

The Easter Seal Society has been helping children, youth, and young adults with physical disabilities reach their highest level of independence since 1922. Today, over 8,000 families rely on Easter Seals to purchase expensive equipment needed for mobility, accessibility and communication, send kids to summer camp, provide access to information and resources and invest dollars in research and prevention. There are currently 208 children with physical disabilities who access our services in London/Middlesex.

As costs increase and financial support at every level decreases, the challenge of helping children with physical disabilities becomes greater. It would not be possible to host events such as our Skate without the backing of community partners like the London Knights, O.M.A.C. Mortgages, Reid Heritage Homes, Deloitte, and Self Storage Plus. The Toy Shoppe is providing a Knights Castle to the top fundraiser.

This is your opportunity to interact with your favourite London Knights players and to meet future NHL stars. If you would like to participate individuals are asked to donate a minimum $20.00 in pledges and families are minimum pledge of $30.00 required.
