
Logan Kons Named Captain of the 2019-2020 Maryland Black Bears

ODENTON, MD - Today, the Maryland Black Bears announced their Captain for the 2019-2020 NAHL Season. Veteran Defenseman and second year Black Bear, Logan Kons will become the third Captain in franchise history.
Logan Kons is a right-handed defenseman who was born on July 22nd, 1999 in Chicago Illinois. Kons is playing his third season in the NAHL. Logan spent his rookie season with the Coulee Region Chill before joining the Black Bears for their Inaugural Season. Kons appeared in 32 games for the Black Bears last season and is on pace to surpass that total this season. Kons' player progression from last season has been a highlight for the 2019-2020 Black Bears. He has 4 goals and 7 assists this season, which is a significant uptick from his first season with the Bears. Logan Kons' leadership, veteran presence, and dedication to improving as a player and person make him the perfect Captain for this drastically improved Maryland Black Bears

The Maryland Black Bears is a Junior Hockey Team that competes in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). Our players, 16-20 years old, are vying for NCAA DI/III Scholarships. The Black Bears are the hometown hockey team of Central Maryland and play out of the Piney Orchard Ice Arena. The Maryland Black Bears play for more than just wins!
