November 27, 2019 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Bismarck Bobcats News Release
Forward Lars Rødne is heading out this Sunday to Belarus to represent his native Norway in the 2020 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships at the Division I level.
Rødne is tied for the team-lead in points for Bismarck with 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists) in only 13 games. His 1.40 points per game is second in the entire NAHL.
The Division I World Junior Ice Hockey Championships will be held in Minsk, Belarus, from December 9 to December 15. Rødne has represented Norway twice before, at the U18 World Junior Classic in 2017-18 when he led Norway in points, and the U20 World Junior Classic in 2018-19.
Rødne will be back in Bismarck after the holiday season, but we are happy to coordinate any interviews with him before he leaves. He will be available after tonight's game against Minot, as well as Friday morning before the team leaves for Aberdeen for the weekend.
The Bismarck Bobcats are incredibly proud of Lars, and we know this incredible international story is something that you don't want to miss! We are happy to help coordinate any interviews or provide B roll of Lars' highlights from this season. We also hope to see you all out at the VFW Sports Center for tonight's game against Minot! It's always a fun game when the Bobcats and Minotauros clash.
