Maryland Black Bears News Release
ODENTON, MD - The Maryland Black Bears have tendered Team Maryland (18U) Forward, Farrell Dinn. The move represents the consistent rise in hockey throughout the Maryland region. It is also a testament to the benefits of having team affiliates from Youth Hockey (Team Maryland) to Junior Hockey [Team Maryland (EHL), Maryland Black Bears (NAHL), and Youngstown Phantoms (USHL)].
Farrell Dinn was born on May 12, 2002, in Kensington, Maryland. The Maryland native is a 5'10, 180 pound Forward. Dinn previously played for Gonzaga College High School, a high school located in the heart of Washington, DC that is well known for its prestigious hockey program. Currently, he plays for Team Maryland (U18 Prep) and has 11 goals and 4 assists in 12 games played.
"We are happy to offer a tender to Farell Dinn," said Black Bears Head Coach Clint, Mylymok. "Farell is a Team Maryland product, Maryland native, and a driven hockey player. We have had a chance to see him develop and prosper over the past season and a half, and feel he has the work ethic and drive to be a strong NAHL player."
"The purpose of the Team Maryland 18U Prep program is to prepare and move players on to the next level of hockey and this move accomplishes just that," said Team Maryland Hockey Director, Chris Ceransky. "Farrell has some very impressive offensive skill and his dedication to growing as a hockey player is unmatched. We are very excited to see Dinn in a Black Bear jersey and are thankful to Coach Mylymok and Mr. Gunty for this great opportunity."
