Locke Walk-Off Home Run Secures Series

Oklahoma City, Okla. - Drew Locke hit a two-out, pinch-hit home run in the tenth inning, sending the Oklahoma City RedHawks (11-15) to a 4-3 win over the Nashville Sounds (9-16) before 2,951 Wednesday night at RedHawks Field at Bricktown.
Reliever Sergio Escalona (1-0) picked up the winning decision after allowing one hit over two relief innings. Starter Jordan Lyles allowed two runs and five strikeouts with two walks and a season-high nine strikeouts over six innings in the start. Nashville reliever Donovan Hand (0-1) allowed the game-ending home run for the losing decision. Starter Amaury Rivas allowed two runs, six hits and three walks with four strikeouts without a decision.
Oklahoma City opened the scoring in the first inning when Koby Clemens knocked in J.B. Shuck with a two-out single for a 1-0 score. Nashville tied the game in the second inning as Luis Figueroa doubled in Brett Carroll from first base for a 1-1 game.
The RedHawks built a 2-1 lead in the fourth inning as Anderson Hernandez hit a sacrifice fly to score Collin Delome. Nashville countered right away in the fifth inning when Caleb Gindl hit a one-out, solo home run to left field, tying the game 2-2.
Nashville took their first lead of the series in the seventh inning. Gindl reached on a walk and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt. During the bunt play, RedHawks first baseman threw back across the infield wild past third base, allowing Gindl time to move to third. Jordan Brown next singled in the go-ahead run for a 3-2 Nashville lead.
The RedHawks re-tied the game in the eighth inning when Koby Clemens singled, moved to third on a Delome hit and scored on a Tommy Manzella fielder's choice for a 3-3 game.
Oklahoma City took the game in the tenth inning with Drew Locke hit a two-out, pinch-hit home run to left field, giving the RedHawks a 4-3 win.
