P.E.I. Rocket News Release
The P.E.I. Rocket Hockey Club has traded their 1st pick in the 2006 European draft and a 4th round pick in the 2006 QMJHL draft previously acquired from the Baie-Comeau Drakkar to the Victoriaville Tigres for Chad Locke (1988-07-22) and a 5th round pick previously acquired from the Halifax Mooseheads.
Chad Locke (6'0" 174lbs) was drafted in the second round (25th overall) by the Victoriaville Tigres in the 2005 QMJHL draft. In 25 games with the Midget AAA St. John's Maple Leafs this year, Locke has 21 goals and 54 points.
"I watched Chad play four times during last years midget AAA Atlantic Championships. He was the type of player that made you go back to watch him again. Islanders will love this kid's offensive capabilities and character. We are very fortunate to acquire this young forward." said Rocket Assistant Coach Dave Flanagan
