Local Quarterback Signs with Tulsa

Tulsa, Okla. - Tulsa Oilers Football, a proud member of the IFL and powered by Community Care, signed former Southwestern Oklahoma State Bulldog and Broken Arrow Tiger quarterback Lafayette Wright.

Wright, spent his college career in Weatherford, Oklahoma with the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Bulldogs. The DII QB earned five passing touchdowns and 436 yards through the air.

Prior to his college career, the 6'4, 205 lbs. quarterback played at Broken Arrow High School, where he threw for 1940 yards and 19 touchdown passes in 12 games on varsity while adding two rushing scores to the total.

Tulsa will see its second season begin on the road against the Frisco Fighters on March 22, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. CST. The Oilers will open their home schedule facing the Iowa Barnstormers at the BOK Center on April 6, at 7:05 p.m. CST.
