SUGAR LAND, Texas - Bobby Livingston (6-2) fired seven and two-thirds innings of stellar baseball in his longest outing of the season for the Sugar Land Skeeters (23-31) in a game one win over Liberty Division rival the Camden Riversharks (25-27) in front of 7589 fans at Constellation Field Friday night.

Livingston retired a season-high 12 batters in a row from the third to the seventh inning and struck out a season-high nine batters through seven and two-thirds innings of work without walking one.

In the top of the first, the Riversharks took an early lead thanks to a leadoff triple from left fielder Chris Walker and an RBI-groundout from second baseman Lloyd Turner, 1-0.

However, in the bottom half of the inning, Sugar Land started their offensive night off with a triple of their own from second baseman Dominic Ramos. Three batters later, ex-Astro and designated-hitter Jason Lane hit a sacrifice-fly into center to tie the score, 1-1.

The game remained scoreless through the second, but in the bottom of the third, the Skeeters broke the deadlock. Ramos again led the inning off by reaching base, but this time it happened as a result of a throwing error from Riversharks third baseman Pedro Feliz. Ramos advanced to scoring position on a passed ball, and again, three batters later, Lane again drove him around with an RBI-single to put Sugar Land ahead, 2-1.

The Skeeters posted two more runs in the sixth for insurance starting the inning off with three singles in a row; the final from Octavio Martinez drove in the third run, 3-1. Starting shortstop Luis Figueroa tallied his first RBI of the season since joining the Skeeters on their last road trip with a sacrifice-fly to center to push the lead, 4-1.

The Riversharks challenged in the bottom of the seventh though. After Livingston retired his 12th straight batter, Feliz launched a changeup over the left-field wall for his first home run of the season to half the lead, 4-2.

Sugar Land stole the run back in the bottom half of the inning though with a leadoff double from Lane and an RBI-double from Steve Moss, his first as a Skeeter, 5-2. Manager Gary Gaetti left Livingston in to pitch the eighth, but when the lefty gave up his third run of the game with two outs gone of an RBI-single from Walker, 5-3, the manager made the change. Eric Krebs came in to get the final out of the inning before closer Gary Majewski sealed the fourth win in a row against the Riversharks in the ninth. Majewski struck two batters out of the three he faced securing his seventh save of the year.
