Live Broadcast Of 2010 South Atlantic League All-Star Game
May 27, 2010 - South Atlantic League (SAL1) News Release
The 2010 South Atlantic League All-Star Game will be played Tuesday June 22nd at Greenville's Fluor Field. Fluor Field is an exact duplicate of Boston's Fenway Park, including a "Green Monster" in left field. In cooperation with the league, WMYA-TV in Greenville is offering your station an opportunity to both downlink All Star player interviews on game day and to carry the game live via satellite.
ALL STAR INTERVIEWS
We will interview every player selected as a South Atlantic League All Star at Fluor Field the afternoon of the game. These short conversations will be made available to you in a gang satellite feed beginning at roughly 3:30 pm. You can use any interview with any player in any fashion that you choose at no charge. We will have the satellite coordinates available the week of June 1st.
ALL STAR GAME BROADCAST
WMYA-TV will also be broadcasting the All Star Game locally in the Greenville/Spartanburg/Asheville market, and you can take a feed of the broadcast live via satellite. The pre-game will start at 7 pm and the first pitch will go at 7:15. The league will stop the game after two innings to finish the Home Run Derby competition, and the game should be over between 10-10:30 pm.
There will be a total of 70 thirty-second avails in the broadcast, and you will be able to cover all of our spots and insert your own commercial inventory. The date of the All-Star game will come near the end of the second quarter and this would provide you with a one-time only revenue opportunity. There will be a significant number of local avails in the broadcast eight days before the end of the second quarter. The economy's improved demand has many stations looking for opportunities to find a home for buys that have to run before end of the quarter credits are taken. There will be a cash fee of $750 if you want to carry the game.
