June 6, 2019 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
B.C. Lions News Release

(Vancouver) Following one of the club's most notable off-seasons in the past decade, the BC Lions take another important step towards the 2019 regular season with their second pre-season tilt which comes against the Calgary Stampeders at 7:00 pm on Friday night presented by Pepsi.

Kid's tickets are just $10 per game all season long and seats in the popular general admission Beach Party Zone are only $20 again this year.

Like each Lions home game there's plenty to be excited about leading up to game outside BC Place as well, click here for a rundown.

Game Preview

Following a visit to Edmonton almost two weeks ago with just six full days of practice under their belts, the Leos have had plenty of preparation and evaluation time in advance of Friday's tilt versus the 2018 Grey Cup champs.

While the roster that made the trip to Edmonton in late May was primarily made up of newcomers and some second-year Leos, Friday's roster will give Lions fans a pretty good indication as to who many of their key starters will be in 2019 - as least early-on anyway.

Quarterback Mike Reilly was the league's biggest off-season acquisition by any club, but the Lions also have a host of new faces vying for key positions on both sides of the ball making Friday far from just a warm-up for next week's regular season opener.

Plenty of key decisions are still to be made by Saturday's cut-down deadline and both second-year Lions GM Ed Hervey and rookie head coach DeVone Claybrooks along with the club's player personnel staff have already spent significant time assembling what they hope is a team ready to compete for top spot in the always-tough West Division.

Stadium note: To help ensure the safety and security of everyone at BC Place, guests entering the venue will be required to participate in a screening procedure which will include the use of a hand-held metal detector

BC Lions season tickets start at just $29.90 per seat. Single game tickets for all home games are also on sale now.

The Lions kick-off the 2019 regular season against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Saturday, June 15 at 7:00 pm presented by Kal Tire. The first 5,000 fans through the gates receive a Mike Reilly bobblehead and the projected 50/50 jackpot is $50,000.
