Lions set to roar at 2009 CFL Canadian Draft

(Vancouver) - Members of the BC Lions Football Club coaching and player personnel staff will pour over their notes and review the video once again as they prepare to make their selections in the 2009 CFL Canadian Draft on Saturday, May 2nd beginning at 8:00 am (PT).

The Lions currently hold six picks including three in the first round alone (4th, 5th and 6th overall). The Leos also have the fifth selection in the second, third, fourth and fifth rounds (13th, 21st, 29th and 37th overall)

Members of the media are invited to follow the proceedings from the Lions' Practice Facility in Surrey.

For a second year, TSN will provide exclusive HD coverage and feature CFL Commissioner Mark Cohon in the CFL On TSN studio to announce each selection during the first and second rounds. Lions fans can also follow the final four rounds through real-time updates on bclions.com and cfl.ca.
