
Lions Place Three on CFL All-Star Roster

(Vancouver) The BC Lions Football Club is pleased to announce that Adam Bighill, Ryan Phillips and Jovan Olafioye have been named CFL All-Stars today by voting members of the Football Reporters of Canada and CFL head coaches.
Bighill caps off another standout campaign from his outside linebacker position picking up his second consecutive CFL honour. The third-year Leo out of Central Washington led the club this season in defensive tackles with 93 as well as sacks with nine. He also tied for the team lead with three fumble recoveries and was second behind only Khreem Smith in tackles for a loss with four.
Phillips picks up his fourth All-Canadian selection after being named a CFL All-Star in 2012, 2010 and 2007. The nine-year veteran notched 36 defensive tackles in 2013 to go along with a pair of interceptions and five pass knockdowns.
Olafioye makes it three years running with a CFL All-Star kudo as he establishes himself as one of the most outstanding offensive lineman in club history. Over the past four years, Olafioye has anchored the offensive line from his right tackle spot amassing four West Division All-Star selections, three All-Canadian honours, a CFL Most Oustanding Offensive Lineman award in 2012 as well as the West Division nominee in 2011.
