Lions Haul in Free Agent DB Brandon Stewart

(Vancouver) BC Lions Football Club GM and head coach Wally Buono announced late this afternoon that veteran free agent defensive back Brandon Stewart has agreed to terms on a two-year contract with the Lions.
"Brandon is a very talented defensive back who brings a lot of experience to our secondary," said Buono. "His size, his physical style of play and his ability to make big plays will make our defence better."
Stewart, a nine-year veteran, spent the past two seasons with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats preceded by five years with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and a short stint with the Calgary Stampeders. Over nine seasons and 108 games, the Seattle native has notched 240 defensive stops, 56 special teams tackles and 12 interceptions.
