Peoria, IL (August 9, 2006) - Peoria Rivermen General Manager of Hockey Operations Kevin McDonald announced today that the club has signed left-wing Charles Linglet to a one-year, American Hockey League (AHL) contract.

During his rookie campaign, he enjoyed a seven-game debut with the AHL's Utah Grizzlies.

In his sophomore season, Linglet posted 62 points (28g, 34a) in 72 regular-season games for Aces, ranking second on the team in goal scoring and third in points. In the postseason that year, he led Alaska with 16 points (6g, 10a) in 15 contests en route to a ECHL Kelly Cup Semifinal appearance, which resulted in a seven-game series loss to the eventual-champion Trenton Titans.

Before his professional career, Linglet played for four years with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League's (QMJHL) Baie-Comeau Drakkar. His career-best season came in 2001-02, when he amassed 52 goals and 71 assists for 123 points in 72 games. For his career with Baie-Comeau, he registered 260 points (108g, 152a) in 253 games.
