January 30, 2021 - United States Hockey League (USHL)
Fargo Force News Release
Two goals in the first and a goal in the second and third all contributed to the Stars 4-0 win over the Force tonight in Lincoln.
The Stars came out hot in tonight's game scoring on a 2 on 1 break just 58 seconds into the first period. They kept that momentum going with another two on one goal, as James Stefan faked a pass and fired it short side up high to increase their lead to 2-0.
Lincoln added their third goal of the night a minute and 58 seconds into period two, this time on the power play. The Force killed off another Stars power play late in the period but couldn't manage to create any scoring opportunities of their own. Period two concluded with a 3-0 Lincoln lead.
1:51 into period three the Stars went on their third power play opportunity of the game but once again Fargo shut them down, going 3/4 on the PK for the night. With 13:29 left to play the Stars added on their fourth goal of the night, scoring at least once in every period and coming away with a 4-0 win.
The Force look to salvage the weekend tomorrow afternoon. Puck drop in Lincoln is at 3:05 PM.
