Lightning go local for one of their final vets camp openings

Rockford, IL. Rockford Boylan and Rock Valley College Alum, Kevin Haas, is a regular at the Lightning Free Agent Camps, and he's always one of the hardest working players in attendance. When Kevin told Bolt Head Coach Chris Daleo he wanted to write an article for the Rockford Register Star about "what it's like to be a player in the Lightning Veteran's Camp", Coach Daleo jumped at the opportunity. Pending league approval, Haas will suit up with the Lightning during the '04-'05 Vet's Camp.

Haas will be "put through the ringer" along with the rest of the players on the Vet's Camp Roster. "It's something I've looked forward to every time I attended a Free Agent Camp," says Haas, "It's a great opportunity to compete with the best of the best." "He's a hard worker, he's a Rockford kid, and he's a free agent camper," says Coach Daleo, "we like to help out our Rockford players however we can."
