
Lightning Announce Season Opening Roster

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Lightning of the arenafootball2 league have announced the season-opening roster for the 2007 af2 season, which begins Saturday, March 31.
Included are returners Kenyatte Morgan, David Lose', Stephen Bell, Lyndel Hawkins and James Newson. New to the roster is quarterback Derrick Crudup, assigned to the Lightning during the off-season after spending his 2006 af2 rookie campaign with the Spokane Shock and his college career with the Miami Hurricanes (NCAA).
A former teammate in Miami of Crudup, WR/LB Carl Walker will make his af2 debut this Saturday with the Lightning, along with former Arena Football League veteran Sale' Key, who spent last season with the Utah Blaze and was a member of the Memphis Xplorers in 2005, who won the ArenaCup title. DL Manase Hopoi joins the Lightning roster on the defensive front after a heralded college football career with the Washington Huskies (NCAA). Additionally, Sacramento products Mason Mitchell, Chris Stallworth, and Diamond Francies are scheduled to make their af2 debut with the Lightning.

Stockton opens the 2007 af2 season on Saturday, March 31 with a road matchup against the defending ArenaCup Champion Spokane Shock, beginning at 5:00 p.m. PT.
In their first season, the Lightning ranked third in af2 attendance with an average of 7,445 fans per home game. Season tickets for the 2007 Lightning regular season are on sale now.
